My Puparazzi: San Diego Dogs

Help Save Fiesta Island

The City of San Diego is working on a plan to "develop" Fiesta Island which would cut the fenced in leash-free area into three small parks with roads and parking lots.  Please help preserve this vital, unique and irreplaceable resource for our dogs and families.

Join FIDO (Fiesta Island Dog Owners) with 1,500 members and growing to give our dogs a voice. There is strength in numbers and together we can make a difference!

If you haven't been to Fiesta Island with your dog, it is a must do! There are acres upon acres of safely beautiful fenced in meadows and beach to satisfy the need of any dog or person for, not only, great exercise but inspiration.

Help Balboa Park's Nate's Point Dog Park

This is one of the most beautiful fenced-in dog parks in San Diego, an oasis with rolling green lawns, shade trees and lots of open space for dogs to have the time of their lives.

Help Expand Dusty Rhodes Dog Park

The city of San Diego has approved plans for expansion and improvement of the dog park. Proposed improvements include: expanded fencing (west and north to Sunset Cliffs parking lot), lights, disabled-compliant parking and walkways, another water source, small dog area, shade plantings and much more.

Community support is needed to start the upgrades.

Please send checks or money orders and include your name, address, phone number and email to expand the list of Dog Park Friends to:

Dusty Rhodes Dog Park Friends, c/o Ocean Beach Recreation Center, 4726 Santa Monica Avenue, San Diego, CA 92107

A big thanks from the dogs: Woof! Arf! Yip! Pant, Pant, Pant! Big sloppy wet kisses and, of course, nose licks and nuzzles.

This site is dedicated to the spirit of my sweet dog Max, best friend and alter ego, who loved without condition.
